Women’s wool trousers

Wool trousers are one of those pieces we welcome back as the season turns, when warmth without weight becomes necessary again. Smarter than jeans, warmer than cotton trousers, they go from office to weekend. For Fall–Winter 2026, our selection of winter trousers brings together cuts borrowed from menswear, made in wools with varied textures.

Wide-leg, straight or pleated: choosing a cut

The wide-leg trousers in wool, with a long, rounded leg, falls to the floor and calls for a loose knit or a tucked-in shirt. Straight wool trousers, often marked by a crease, retain a clean line that gives the silhouette structure. The pleated trousers, like the Felix trousers in wool gabardine, adds volume at the hips in the spirit of masculine tailoring, while the more fitted cigarette trousers work with short jackets as well as the long coat. Between these familiar shapes, a few cuts rounded at the knee bring a more contemporary note.

Gabardine, flannel, double-faced cloth: the texture of wool

Not all wools wear in the same way. Gabardine, with its tight, smooth weave, holds its creases and lasts through the seasons, while lightly brushed flannel is warmer and softer to the touch. Fine double-faced cloth makes for supple trousers with a clean drape; felted boiled wool gives shape to wider cuts. Some styles blend wool with cotton or linen for a lighter fabric suited to early fall. Colours remain understated, and grey marl wool trousers work with almost everything in a winter wardrobe.

When wool trousers itch

Gabardine or tightly woven twill can be worn comfortably against the skin, their smooth surface limiting contact with the fibres. For more textured wools, a pair of fine tights is enough. Between cleans, brush the trousers after wearing and steam out any creases, following the care label when washing.
